Routes/Location: Rhône and Saône rivers, France

Passenger Capacity: Up to 138 guests

Employment Status: Urgent Job Opportunity – Immediate Joining

High Professional Standards Under Demanding Shipboard Realities

Let’s look at this role with absolute realism. Housekeeping and cabin maintenance on an active river cruise vessel is a physically exhausting and fast-paced job. You will be on your feet for long hours, managing repetitive physical labor—such as lifting, bending, and deep cleaning—within restricted spaces. During guest turnaround days, the pressure multiplies significantly to reset the vessel under strict time limits. Living on board means adapting to shared crew quarters and maintaining continuous professional focus far away from your family, friends, and regular support circles for the duration of the cruise season.

However, if you possess a strong work ethic and are ready to face the physical routine of an active vessel, this position offers clear, secure contractual rewards. Joining the MS Rhône Princess means working for an industry-leading European river cruise fleet with guaranteed, prompt salary payouts. Because your shared cabin accommodation and all daily meals are fully provided for on board the ship, your day-to-day living costs are entirely eliminated, allowing you to maximize and save your earnings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cabin & Public Area Maintenance: Clean, sanitize, and systematically maintain guest cabins and public areas to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.
  • Linen & Amenity Management: Change bed linen and towels regularly, and systematically replenish cabin supplies and guest amenities.
  • Inventory & Maintenance Reporting: Inspect cabin fittings carefully to report maintenance issues and log lost property immediately to the housekeeping management.
  • Team Operations: Work closely with the international housekeeping team to deliver seamless, excellent service throughout the vessel.

Requirements: Who Can Apply?

  • Experience: Previous housekeeping or cabin steward/stewardess experience is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Good English communication skills are required to interact with international guests and follow shipboard safety instructions.
  • Professional Attributes: A positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a firm commitment to service excellence.
  • Team Adaptability: The ability to live and work smoothly within a highly diverse, international team environment.
  • Citizenship: An EU passport is preferred for legal onboarding and compliance in France.

What We Offer

  • Immediate Placement: Fast-tracked recruitment processing for immediate embarkation.
  • Financial Security: A competitive salary package paid reliably and on time.
  • Zero Overhead Costs: Full accommodation and meals provided on board the ship for the entire duration of your employment.
