Position Description
The Operator is a specialized rating responsible for the efficient running and monitoring of specific machinery or systems. Your duties include standing watch, conducting routine performance checks, and ensuring all assigned systems are operating within safe parameters. This is a unique hands-on role where you gain in-depth knowledge of a particular aspect of the vessel's operations. This experience is a solid foundation for advancing to a Motorman or another specialized technical role.
