MOTORMAN
Position Description
The Motorman is a key unlicensed rating in the engine department, responsible for assisting the engineering officers with daily operations. Your duties include standing watch in the engine room, conducting routine maintenance like lubrication and cleaning, and assisting with repairs. This is a crucial hands-on role where you gain a deep understanding of the ship's machinery. Your expertise and hard work can lead to becoming a Fitter or, with further training, to a licensed officer position.
